This summer, school age children will have a blast exploring all aspects of science with Fizz, Boom, Read!, the Jacksonville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.

Who
• Children Ages 5 - 12

When
• June 1 – August 15

Where
• All branches of the Jacksonville Public Library

How
• Sign up at your local library or online at jaxpubliclibrary.org
• Read! Children can bring their reading logs to the library as often as once per week to receive a weekly prize.*
• Children who read or listen to 10 books receive a free book!*
• Children who complete the Library Lab activity card (available here) receive a special prize.*

Why
• Reading programs bolster skills and are free, convenient and fun.
• Studies abound that show the direct relationship between reading and academic gains.


*Prizes and free books available while supplies last. Prize distribution begins July 1.
