 The historic Lavilla neighborhood has a rich heritage which helped to form identities for renowned residents such as James Weldon Johnson (author of Lift Evíry Voice and Sing) and humanitarian Eartha M.M. White. Few remnants of Lavillaís past remain since it was destroyed in the late 90ís, but it continues to persevere. This two part program will discuss how Lavilla is becoming a historic district and how it has lasted through its trials and what lies in store for its future. Jacksonville1
